Meet Dr. Sandra C. Ordonez-Rubiano
I lead the Ordonez-Rubiano Lab at Georgia Southern University, where we use novel chemical tools to unravel transcriptional regulators in cancer. My passion for cancer research was sparked during clinical rotations at Colombia’s National Cancer Institute, and I developed a strong commitment to mentorship throughout my PhD at Purdue University and postdoctoral training at Stanford University. As a principal investigator, my goal is to advance the development of anticancer treatments while supporting my trainees through a holistic approach.
View our researchStudent opportunities
We are looking for motivated graduate and undergraduate researchers to join the lab. If you are curious about chemical biology and how it can be applied to answer questions in the cancer biology field, we want to hear from you.
Research
We work at the interface of chemistry and biology to enhance our understanding of the role transcriptional regulators play in cancer and their potential as therapeutic targets.
